How your product photos are edited is a crucial component to ensuring your product is successful. See below for the best practices when creating product photos:

Cropping Your Photo:

Image Background: Your product photos should have a pure white background.  If you would like your photo to appear on a white background, note that Photoshop’s “Refine edge” tool will help fix crooked edges.

Square is Fair: Valet Seller requires all of our product listings to include square images. Remember when shooting your product photos to leave enough space on the edges so they can later be edited to be a square format.

Size Matters: Product images must be at least 1000 pixels on a side. We recommend that you shoot your photos in high-resolution so your customers can see all that your product has to offer.

Enhancing Your Photo:

Take Photos in a Bright Location:  Having your photos taken in a bright, well-lit environment on a tripod will save you a lot of time in post-production.

Hide Any Unexpected Content: Double-check the background and surfaces of your photos. Are there people in the background? Are there any unwanted reflections? Make sure all unexpected content is removed before submitting your photos.

Upload Your Images:

JPGS, PNGS, and More: We accept most JPG, PNG, GIF, and other common image types in any size larger than 1000×1000 pixels. Avoid compressing images.
